How does a SteamStory steamer work?
Steamers operate by heating water until it becomes steam. This hot steam is then applied to fabrics using an innovative steam nozzle to eliminate wrinkles and folds, while also removing bacteria and unpleasant odors.
How to use a Steamstory steamer?
In the video below, we demonstrate how to steam a shirt using a Steamstory S10 PRO Steamer. The following techniques can be applied with any steamer.
Step 1: Fill the water reservoir and connect the steamer
It's best to use distilled water. With Steamstory steamers, click and twist the steamer's water reservoir, open the cap, fill it with water, ensure it's sealed properly, and tightly close the cap. Press the power button on the touchscreen, the LED light will turn on, and the steamer will start heating up. Ready for use within 25 seconds.
Step 2: Hang your garment on a hanger
The most common method is to place your garment on a hanger. Find a place where you can comfortably hang the garment, near a power outlet. A hook, shower rod, or curtain rod will suffice.
Step 3: Hold the bottom of the garment
For a professional result, hold the bottom hem of the garment and gently stretch the fabric while steaming. This helps in removing stubborn wrinkles. Don't forget to wear the provided steam glove for safety and ease!
Step 4: Apply the nozzle to the fabric
With Steamstory steamers, press the steam button to release steam. Once the steamer produces steam, move it in every direction over the fabric, from top to bottom or sideways. It's essential to keep the nozzle against the fabric.
Pro-tip: Try steaming from the inside out
This is an effective technique for removing wrinkles in button-down shirts, blouses, T-shirts, and similar garments. By steaming from the inside, you can observe the wrinkles as you apply steam.
